The Space Anemone collective's story transcends time and space. It is the earthly manifestation of an existence floating, swimming through galaxies and star systems, with tentacles undulating, tuned in to the vibrations of a higher dimensional harmony. The song of yearning to fully and deeply just be; the soundtrack of self-discovery, connection, community, and catharsis.
Space Anemone's human-readable output includes a diversity of auditory art—music for dancing, yelling, and meditating—as well as a growing collection of fractal and mandala-based visual art, clothing, and fanny packs. Space Anemone releases (spanning psychedelic live ambient, IDM/DnB/bass music, art rock, and beyond) are centered around the development of evocative, enveloping textures—an invitation to join in releasing false narratives, and dissolve into the true essence of existence.

Lucid Space Dreamers x Fractal Banana Experiment - Interludes & Dances
Multi-instrumentalists Aaron (guitar, drums, vocals) and Anenemone (trombone/winds, keys) met in 2014 as members of the Omni-Musicality Group at UCLA, an experimental performing ensemble dedicated to intercultural improvisation and cross-tradition/genre collaboration. Post-OMG, Aaron invited Anenemone to join psych-rock group Bob and the Astronauts, and continue their mindfulness-based improvisational music collaborations. After several years of spreading Mr. Skelly's message of acid and space zen through the DIY spaces and deserts of Southern California (and embarking on a lunar eclipse tour up to Oregon), Aaron and Anenemone joined forces with singer, keyboardist, and drum programmer Lydia to form the Lucid Space Dreamers.
Interludes & Dances:
We find ourselves in a post-Earth futurist society. Humanity has left the destroyed Earth behind for a new, centrally planned society among the stars. In this traumatic environment, the Lucid Space Dreamers perform through the night as the house band(s) of a warehouse party for those oppressed and discarded by the new order. A gathering of likeminded seeking souls; an underground rave in space.
As the opera/trip unfolds, reality and thought—perception and imagination—the remembered and the hoped for become increasingly and irreversibly intermingled. The internal and the external swirl into one synesthetic vision; vivid dance tracks (collaborations with producer Fractal Banana Experiment) and stream-of-consciousness audio collages flow freely.
